Solectria Force Electric Car 1996 7000 miles $12000.00 VIN=2C1MR5298T6763750 70 mile per hour. This car has a range of 50 miles with healthy batteries. Automatic. (No gears to shift), Air Conditioning, Delay wipers (one preset speed), Driver and Passenger Air Bag, Electric Ceramic Heater for passenger compartment, Battery heaters in each battery box with automatic sensors and controls, Power Brakes, DC to DC converter (no Auxiliary battery for 12 volt systems needed), Smart Battery charger that automatically adjusts from 110 volt to 220 volt input and automatically adjusts to float charge when batteries are full. ( I used 110 volt the first 3 months I used the car.) Transmission or gear box was built for this car with the correct ratio needed for the electric motor. 156 volt system, AC induction 12 kW motor, Regenerative braking (charges batteries when coasting), Maintenance free batteries. No watering ever needed, AM-FM cassette player. Rear defroster, This is truly a plug in and then use car. Plug it in when home and check the tire air pressure occasionally. The car works vary well as is. For anybody that wants to change things the range can be increased with new batteries or more expensive batteries. The controller and battery charger are adjustable. Solectria has software and manuals available for purchase. They also have information on every car they have built. Professionally converted to an EV by Solectria when new from a Chevrolet Metro Glider. This car never had a gas engine. Car was previously fleet owned and not used much. I have put 3000 miles on it in the last 4 months as a daily driver to work. The range has been decreasing. The body has minor dings and scratches. Overall appearance is nice. The batteries are only good for 15 to 20 Amp Hours. Range is between 10 and 20 miles depending on speed ETC. The car is designed for 13 grope 27 12 volt Gel cells I have Sealed lead acids in it now. At the time of this writing the car has 6474 miles. I have ordered new Batteries for another electric car that I will be driving when this one is sold. They cost $1700. Until I have the other car running we will continue to use this car for our short commuting. It is insured and registered. When the car is paid for by a buyer or when I transfer insurance it will be parked and on longer used. Car is located in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
